I’m going to start off real and honest. You know me, I don’t like to sugar-coat things. This week is definitely about reclaiming our digestive system, as Cory and I are definitely emptying it all out. As stated before, I am sure is from the fruit. It is not diarrhea, per se, but we utilized the bathroom frequently this morning, and it was on the loose side. However, it doesn’t make us feel “sick” – More like we are cleaning ourselves out. It also may the Detox supplement…

I woke up later than I wanted this morning, so I didn’t get a jump on work this morning. However, my two morning meetings were cancelled, so I guess that evens things out. When I looked in the fridge, it looked like our berries weren’t going to make it for a few more days, so we traded breakfasts with tomorrow. We skipped the mashed chickpeas, and instead did fruit again. It was so delicious! I guess the chickpeas will have to wait (I am also nervous about this dish, as many people I know don’t like it. I am already planning on adapting the recipe a little, based off others’ recommendations).

I spent the morning working from home, and making lunch. Then I needed to head into the tire shop, as we had a deflated tire this morning (again, I am glad my morning meetings were cancelled). However, they weren’t going to be able to fix it in time before I had to teach, so I ended up just going to school. I tried again after I taught, but again there wasn’t enough time for them to get to it before I taught in the afternoon, so it will have to wait until tomorrow.

Lunch was good, and I enjoyed getting good greens in with the salad. It was a lot of food, and I didn’t end up finishing it at lunch, so I saved it and ate the rest as snack. The asparagus for dinner was amazing (we always like roasted asparagus), and the kids were disappointed that I didn’t make more. The soup was okay. Not the best, but I would eat it every once in a while for variety. Keenan REALLY liked it, and licked both his bowl and Rhys’ bowl clean. He also was my helper in the kitchen tonight, and enjoyed peeling the skins off the roasted red peppers.

A friend of mine sent me a message asking if I wanted to join her in running a mile everyday until the fourth of July, so how could I refuse? Now I’ve added a mile jog to my 22 push-ups everyday. I’ll keep my activity to that for now, and make sure to take it slow on the jog.
