Newton’s Law of Inertia

Newton taught us that an object in motion tends to stay in motion, unless acted on by another force (First Law of Motion, aka Law of Inertia). Same goes for an object at rest – it will stay at rest unless acted on by another force.

Lately, when I wake up, I tend to be stiff and sore (#lifewithms). Most mornings I don’t even want to get out of bed, but I force myself to anyway.

Today was no exception.

But I know once I start moving, I tend to feel better. Despite what my mind tells me, I know that the more I move during the day (and the earlier I start that movement), the better I feel.

I have to fight the urge to be sedentary almost everyday.

So, today I got up, walked the kiddos to school (3 mile walk in total for me today), and was already feeling better. With my body set in motion, I got home and busted out a workout.

It was probably the hardest workout I’ve ever done, and the most frustrating (see my live video on FB). I literally cried. But I DID IT!!

As frustrating as it was – I DID IT!! I may have felt like a failure while I was doing it, but I felt like a WARRIOR after it was done 💪🏽.

I know it will get easier with time, and someday I will be able to do the workout without modifications, but I am damn proud of myself today.

+ Proud I got my butt up, and started my “inertia” today.
+ Proud I didn’t give up, but just changed to do what I could.
+ Proud of myself for knowing that if I keep at it, little-by-little, I will get there!!
