Today was a fun day filled with family time. I ended up sleep in a little, and enjoyed it quite a bit! Then Keenan had two mini baseball games. It was sweltering hot, and combining that with baseball made it feel like summer! He did excellent, and I love watching him play. After baseball, we ran a couple of quick errands, and then Rhys had a marimba concert at Cosmic Pizza. The kids did so great, and it was a great atmosphere to play a concert. After the concert, it was a quick trip home to start making dinner. We were pressed on time, and I was trying to use up food I had before it went bad, so we remade a meal from earlier in the week (pinto beans and rice with some asparagus).
I ended up soloing it throughout the day, as Cory went on a mountain bike trip with a friend. He had prepared well for the trip (food-wise), but found that he was exerting too much energy, and started to feel sick. Struggling to get down the trail, he ended up hopping off the trail, and biking down the road for the second half of the trip. He didn’t take any of his supplements, nor eating at all throughout the day (he felt too nauseated). However, he did make it home right in time for us to have a date going to Spamalot at a local theater. It was an excellent performance, and I just want to give a huge shout out to our friend Marleena who hooked us up with tickets. I am so glad we got to go! It was a perfect ending to a great day!
