From Cory (husband):
Things are going well, for the most part. There was a slight scare of a second surgery and that might still be the case, but not right away. Things are improving. The doc is happy with how things have been progressing. There is a slight shifting of of her brain to the right (tumor was on left) because of air that is trapped and a swelling from brain, but it looks like it will likely be absorbed through normal healing. They upped her dose on Dex to try and reduce the swelling more. Speech is still difficult for her, but is getting better. She has some numbness in her right hand that is slowly getting better.
If I didn’t say before, she has an Atypical Grade 2 Menigioma. A grade 1 tumor is benign. A grade 3 is malignant. A grade 2 is somewhere in between. There is nothing to do right now, but the doc is sending her case to colleges at Mayo and UCSF for additional consult. We are hoping for the best.
All-in-all, thing are well. She will likely be released to go home tomorrow.
Thank you for the prayers, thoughts, and support. There are many people I know we need to thank for all the help. For now, thanks for everything.
