If you know me, I really don’t enjoy working out. Yes, I love the benefits and health that it brings me, but I don’t wake up everyday thinking, “Awesome, I get to workout this morning.”

In fact, it’s quite the opposite!

These past few years have been even harder with all my health changes (brain surgery, multiple sclerosis, frozen shoulder, etc). I could do any given workout, but after a few days in a row, my body would just start to shut down (#lifewithms). I would end up with a day that I couldn’t get out of bed – I could barely walk, let alone workout. I tried different levels of intensity, different durations of workouts, different types of workouts, various days of rest in between, but each time I would end up in pain after about a week, and thus would stop my workouts……usually for a while (#laziness and #lotsofexcuses)

Then my team decided to embark on a 100 straight days of workouts.

WHAT WAS I THINKING?!?

This was it! I was going to move everyday, no matter what! Even if I had to sit while lifting, or use no weights on weight-days. Even if I had to modify every single move, and do a completely different workout than what was designed for the day – I was going to KEEP THIS PROMISE to myself, because it was important to ME and to my HEALTH.

And you know what???

I just finished Day 27/100!!!

I have not worked out this many days in a row since…..well, I just can’t even remember!

Yes, I modify sometimes.
Yes, I go slower sometimes.
Yes, I still wake up thinking, “I don’t really want to workout today.” (Like this morning)

BUT – I am SHOWING UP for myself…..everyday…. and I am so damn PROUD!
