Rhys (13 y/o): “Mom, what’s for dinner?”
Me (laying in bed): “I’m not sure bud. I’m really not feeling well, I’m not sure what to do.”
Rhys: “Well, you know I’m always a proponent of ordering a pizza to be delivered. You know, it really is a great food; it contains all the food groups. It has meat for protein, the cheese covers dairy. Carbs are always good for you, which is in the bread. Plus it has tomato sauce, which covers both the fruit and veggie side of things since really tomatoes are kind of a 2 for 1 in that realm……and the grease? Well, everything comes at a price, and pizzas’s price is grease, so we’ll just overlook that. PLUS, as added incentive, I’ve already done my math homework for the whole week, and we just it today. So, we should really order a pizza.”
**I’ve never really heard a pitch for pizza that was quite like that before.

UPDATE:
30 mins later, as I’m picking up Keenan (10 y/o) from gymnastics…
Keenan (getting into car): “Hey mom, what’s for dinner?”
Me: (with a sigh) “Pizza”
Keenan: “Why are we having pizza?”
Me: “Because Rhys convinced me.”
Keenan: “Why do you let Rhys push you around like that?………We should have had ice cream.”
🤣😂🤣
