For the past couple of years, things have been tough for my mom.

+ Diabetes
+ Alzheimer’s
+ Depression

My dad is amazing at taking care of her, and obviously loves her deeply, but that is a lot of strain on just one person. As amazing as he does, it definitely wears on him, as it should.

After long contemplation, my sister (Pamala) decided to move back in with them (nothing like returning to your parents house after almost 40 years), to be able to help.

Pam really is a godsend. She has tremendous patience, and has been such a big help. I am beyond grateful for her being able to make this move, because I am not in a space in life to do so.

Part of what Pam does is to involve mom more in daily chores (to help her still feel needed), and cooks amazing meals for them. Through this change in her diet (along with Pam serving her Shakeology everyday), Mom has lost 20 pounds in the last 6 months, reduced her blood pressure, and there is talk of reducing her diabetes medications. 🙌🏽

This is all because my sister is a saint, and through changes in NUTRITION (adding Shakeology and eating more vegetables).
